Oil and Gas: Operators report three recompletions and workovers, and a dry hole

Recent activity in the South Arkansas oil patch has included three workovers and recompletions, and one dry hole, according to the last two weeks of reports from the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission.

Well Completions

Goldco Operating LLC of Shreveport reports that its Green No. 1 in the Springhill Field of Lafayette County was a dry hole. It was drilled to 3,250 feet, 280 feet FSL and 2,250 feet FEL in Section 12-20S-24W. It was completed on November 1.

Recompletions

After initially reporting a trace of oil from the completion of its Mill Creek No. 1 in Nevada County, Weiser-Brown Operating Company of Magnolia recompleted the well located 2,045.43 feet FEL and 2,515.09 feet FSL of Section 4-15S-22W, which was a wildcat location. Total depth was to 2,950 feet in the Tuscaloosa Zone, with perforations between 2,873 and 2,876 feet. Daily production was 7 barrels of 25.6 gravity oil. The recompletion was finished September 26.

Workovers

Smackover Drilling Company of Shreveport has completed the workover of two wells, both in Section 13-17S-15W in the El Dorado East Field of Union County, and both drilled into the Cotton Valley Zone.

The Ezzell No. 28 Alternate was drilled to 5,190 feet with perforations between 5,052 and 5,055 feet. Daily production was 42 barrels of 44-gravity oil. Work was finished September 9.

The Ezzell No. 36 was drilled to 5,895 feet, with perforations between 5,621 and 5,625 feet. Daily production was 30 barrels of 42-gravity oil. Work was finished September 13.
